17th National Level Technical Symposium XENIX

The 17th National Level Technical Symposium XENIX 17, was conducted on 16th August 2017. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Suresh A Shan, Head-MMFSL BITS-Innovation & Future Technology, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, Chennai, Mr. K.S.Sivakumar, Head-GSM, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, Chennai and Dr. K.M. Suceendran, GPHR Global Workforce Management Head, TCS, Chennai.


The 16th National Level Technical Symposium Kanotix 2016, was conducted on 04th August 2016. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Shuveb Hussain, Co-Founder, Chief of Marketing & DevOps, MobiZippy, Chennai.


15th National Level Technical Symposium NEXENTUS

The 15th National Level Technical Symposium “Nexentus 2K15 ” was conducted on 10th August 2015. The symposium was inaugurated by Mr.Ganesh Manoharan Raju, Chief Technology Officer, Genome Life Sciences, Chennai . The guest for valedictory is Mr. B. Venkatesh Prabhu,, Professor, Royal commission of Yanbu colleges and Institutions, Saudi Arabia.

14th National Level Technical Symposium OCULARIS

SaiCompfest, The 14th National Level Technical Symposium Ocularis ‘ 14 was conducted on 20th August 2014. The program was inaugurated by Mr.Narain Rajagopalan, Partner, Avere Capital, Chennai . The guest for valedictory, Mr. Sankar Nagarajan, Principal Consultant, DISYS Corporation Chennai.

11th National Level Technical Symposium

The Association of computer Science Engineers organized the 11th National Level Technical Symposium, SAI COMPFEST 2011: PRAKRAMAM ’11 on 3rd August 2011.

This one day of technical extravaganza was graced by eminent personalities from the IT industry. The symposium was inaugurated by Mr.Visvanathan Lakshmi Narayan, Development Centre Head, Infosys, Chennai. His speech gave valuable insight into the current IT trends and requirements of engineers as future professionals was of immense value and depth. Mr. Rajaram Venkataraman Principal Research Analyst, Infosys, Chennai was the chief guest for the valedictory function.

The Association of computer Science Engineers organized the 10th National Level Technical Symposium, SAI COMPFEST 2011: COEUS ’11 on 3rd March 2011.

This one day of technical extravaganza was graced by eminent personalities from the IT industry. The symposium was inaugurated by Mr.Balakrishnan, M. Soundarajan, DC-Head, Infosys Technologies, Chennai. His speech gave valuable insight into the current IT trends and requirements of engineers as future professionals was of immense value and depth.

Department of CSE conducted a National level Technical Symposium “CRESZENDO’09” on 26th August 2009.. Mr.Thothathri Visvanathan, Associate Vice president & Development Center Head, Infosys Mahindra City & Mr.Dinesh Chandra Siva, HRD Recruitment & Campus Relations, Infosys Technologies Ltd, Chennai inaugurated this function. Prof.Narayanaswamy Ramanathan,Director (Education),Computer Society Of India was the chief guest for the valedictory function.

Staff Development Programs

Department of CSE organized a AICTE sponsored Staff Development Program in the month of April 2010 on the topic “Recent Developments in Computing”. The following topics were discussed

Nano Technology
Ubiquitous Computing
Knowledge Management
Bio information and Bio Computing
Enhancing Teaching Excellence and integration of Technology in class room teaching.

Twelve day long Staff Development Program proved to be an eye opener to the upcoming trends in Tele-Medicine and E-Health. The program included presentations and sessions on various technologies in the field, at TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES, Vadapalani and SRMC, Porur in association with Sri Sai Ram Engg College. The 2 week journey left with minds set at pace to work for the progress in Tele-Medicine and related fields.

Intelluctual Property Rights

Department of CSE in association with ECE conducted a seminar on “Intelluctual Property Rights” at TCS on 24th April 2008. The faculty from all the departments attended the seminar.

Bullet Department of CSE in association with TCS conducted a Staff Development Programme on “Web Services and Application ” sponsored by AICTE during 05th May-17th May 2008.

Instructional Design and Delivery

Department of CSE organized an AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programme on “Instructional Design and Delivery” on 8th and 9th January 2009. The programme was presided over by Prof.N.S.Ramaswamy, Indian Heritage Academy. The coordinators Ms.R.Bama & Ms.V.Kavitha conducted the programme in an awesome manner.
