Use of various instructional methods and pedagogical initiatives
Faculty members handling similar subjects are designated as content creators. From each department, one faculty member is assigned the role of Course Coordinator and Course Moderator to monitor the content and ensure the quality of question papers for Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs). This includes proper verification of course outcomes and alignment with Bloom’s Taxonomy levels. A snapshot of the e content posted in the Google classroom is shown in the figure below.
SAIL is an exclusive AI-powered platform developed by Sairam Institutions to evaluate students’ higher-order thinking skills. It incorporates three types of assessment methodologies: Subjective Assessment, Objective Assessment, and Coding Assessments. These assessments serve as direct tools for evaluating Course Outcome (CO) attainment.
The institution offers a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, fostering an e-learning environment where faculty and students can engage in discussions related to objective assignments. These assignments are administered through platforms such as Google Forms and the dedicated SAIL App, enhancing accessibility and interactivity in the assessment process.
Multimedia resources (videos, simulations, animations) are integrated to enhance understanding. Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google Classroom are used for structured content delivery. Students will be engaged through interactive quizzes, online assignments, and gamified learning activities.
Using real-time polling and response systems (e.g., Kahoot, Mentimeter, SAIL,Quizziz) to gauge student understanding. Promoting active questioning and encouraging students to challenge concepts through discussions.
Design structured lecture slides with a mix of text, visuals, and animations. Use storytelling techniques to make content engaging and memorable. Incorporate summary slides, key takeaways, and reflection points.
To improve the communication skills of the students, Group tasks were assigned to them by participating in Group discussions and Case analysis. A student demonstrating a case and involvement of students in a group discussion are shown in the picture.
